Soft Washing - Low Pressure Gentle Cleaning
What is Soft washing - Soft washing originated in the US as a safe means of washing roof tiles and exteriors of buildings. In the US they use primarily Shingles for roof tiles, here in the UK we use different types from clay, asphalt, fired clay, concrete and composite. Some of these are very weak and brittle they cannot take weight or the direct action of a pressure washing jet. Santofts and Pantiles take no weight and break easily but can be pressure washed, clay tiles cannot take weight or pressure.
Scabbling is the process where the jet of water removes a small amount of the surface exposing the tile to the elements and a means for moss to attach firmly.
Pressure Washing East Anglia uses both systems. On-site we always advise which type of process is applicable.
Soft Washing is the gentle removal of organic growths from roofs, exteriors of buildings, walls, decks, patios, drives, gazebos. We use low-pressure water and specially formulated chemicals to gently remove and treat the surface.
