Indian Sandstone has become very popular due to its soft colours and pleasing aesthetics. It makes an excellent patio surface. How to protect

Softwashing is a chemical treatment to remove biological growth, is a less intrusive method of cleaning the stone.  

Sealers are by nature a topical treatment that covers the sandstone with an impervious layer (water and solvent based) As per all seals a small change in colour is to be expected, think of varnish on sanded wood. pinks, browns etc become darker.

Impregnators are spray applied and due to the solvent base are absorbed into the sandstone, encapsulating the grains of sand and making the sandstone repel water and staining agents. Once applied there is no change to the original colour of the stone. 

Whichever method of seal or impregnation used you can be sure that your beautiful natural stone patio will be enhanced and protected.
